From air to land and now water! As specialists in land and aerial surveying, we’re delighted to announce that we can now complete water spatial measurement surveys.
Bathycat is a portable unmanned survey catamaran designed to complete bathymetric and hydrographic surveys. For those unfamiliar with these types of surveys, what this means is that we can now measure the bed or underwater features of inshore coastal areas, rivers, lakes, dams and sewer and storm water treatment ponds, quickly and safely from the shore.
Bathycat comes equipped with a single beam echo sounder, making it ideal for surveying smaller water bodies. We can also access a multi-beam solution if you need to survey medium to large water bodies.
With bathymetric surveys, we can help you
- Monitor flood inundation and shoreline erosion
- Identify the contours of streams, rivers and rocky outcrops
- Measure sedimentation changes in reservoirs, dams, sewer and treatment ponds
- Monitor underwater construction or excavation levels of projects with high ground water.
