Craig McInnes Wins Silver at the 2024 Cadastral Survey of the Year Awards
Craig McInnes Wins Silver!
We are delighted to announce that Craig McInnes has recently been awarded the Silver in the prestigious 2024 Cadastral Survey of the Year Awards, presented by Survey and Spatial New Zealand at the recent S+SNZ conference in Napier.
The Cadastral Survey of the Year Awards celebrates excellence within the surveying industry, recognising those who are at the top of their game and who continue to push the boundaries of innovation and precision in land surveying.
This award is not just a reflection of the hard work and skill of our amazing team but also reaffirms our legacy of being at the forefront of the industry, consistently leaving a lasting impact. We are committed to continuing to set the standard and deliver outstanding results in the surveying field.
Our Award-Winning Project: Pigeon Bay Road Survey
We won the award for our Pigeon Bay Road project – a complex cadastral survey that dealt with significant conflicts in the cadastre and resolved boundary limitations for an underlying title. Learn about the project in our recent blog.
This project presented a series of challenges, including steep terrain, dense vegetation, and a lack of recent survey data. The boundaries of the property, which had not been surveyed in over 120 years, required our team to apply a mix of traditional surveying methods and innovative technology to deliver an accurate and thorough solution.
The success of this project is a testament to the expertise of our surveyors, who meticulously measured old fence lines, navigated tricky terrain, and used advanced surveying tools such as GNSS receivers and total stations to define the property boundaries.
