USV Surveying Solutions
Air, land and now water! As specialists in land and aerial surveying, we can now complete your water spatial measurement surveys.
Our USV (unmanned surface vehicle) is a portable unmanned survey catamaran designed to complete bathymetric and hydrographic surveys. What this means is that we can now measure the bed or underwater features of inshore coastal areas, rivers, lakes, dams and sewer and storm water treatment ponds, quickly and safely from the shore.
Our unmanned survey catamaran can be carried by one person, making it quick to deploy and ideal for hard to reach or shallow areas where launching a boat is not an option. For larger or rougher conditions, the sonar can be detached and installed on a manned watercraft (jet ski boat).
Our USV comes equipped with a single beam echo sounder, making it ideal for surveying smaller water bodies. We can also access a multi-beam solution if you need to survey medium to large water bodies. We produce a variety of different data deliverables including discrete point files, point clouds and digital terrain models to help you effectively manage your resources and assets.
“When you finally see what goes on underwater, you realise you've been missing the whole point of the ocean.” Dave Barry
